It was a good visit but left us a lot to think about. Heart beat was great and Max was moving and stretching all over. Shes guessing he's about 5 and a half lbs and I am measuring a week a head also I have lost weight but that might have been from the flu i had last week. It only lasted a day but I lost some water weight from it my total weight gain for this pregnancy as of now is 15 lbs . I got yelled at for having super low Vit D and am now on 6000 units a day but told my iron was fine. We are talking about where I want to have the baby and for as much as I wanted to go to the birthing center now I have the thoughts in my head that having him at home would be the same thing and with less prep. Since my biggest worry is that my house isn't "clean enough" to give birth in cause of the pets she suggested maybe taking that $500 for the birthing center and hiring someone to come and clean for me (this idea intrigues me) I could have some one come the week before for a day and the week I am due for a day and then once a week for the first two weeks after I have him just so I can concentrate on the new baby and not if my floors and bathroom are immaculate. If I go to the birthing center I come home to the same house that is not up to my standards (nesting standards)
Now for all you worry wort's out There that think baby's can't be born healthy and safely with out a doctor. Relax Midwives have been doing this well before doctor realized they could make a profit on child birth and I am in amazing hands with Joy who has been a midwife for over 40 years. In the event of an emerg that may need more involvement I am just as close to a hospital at home as I would have been at the birthing center. I have done this 100% natural with a midwife twice before and I know my body and I can do what we were made to.
