I can't believe its been a month already!!! My lil Maximus is not going to be little for long if time keeps flying like this. It took him 3 weeks to get back to his birth weight of 7lbs 8 oz which the midwives thought was a little slow so they want us to weigh him weekly (we do this anyway cause we love watching his progress) at 4 weeks old Max is now weighing at 8lbs even!! thats 8oz gain in a week!!! go Max go :) for as much as he eats in a day it doesn't surprise me
Big brother Cole is forever the mommy's helper (you tell me one 3 year old that knows to ask if you need one or two breastpads ..lol) Ana's looking forward to her summer holidays so she can spend more day time hours with Max.
Mommy Issues:( when Max was 18 days old I had just finished feeding him and was getting ready to do a pedi on myself (long over due) it was about 11:30 at night when I started to feel pressure around the lower part of my rib cage. Very quickly it spread around my front and back and felt like the most insane spasm. I couldn't breath and would compare the pain to something worse then contractions. I was so scared and didn't know what to do. Clint had enough of watching me in pain and decided this was not normal and that I needed to see a doctor. Uncle Chris came over and stayed with Cole and off we went with Max to the emerg. at the emerg I waited and waited and when finally able to see a doc I find out that the pain I am having sounds like a gall bladder issue which is apparently common in pregnancy and post pregnancy. He orders an ultrasound (which I didn't get until 4 days later) to confirm. I have a few more attacks like the first between those times and at my ultrasound it is confirmed that I have Gall Stones (about 20 of the little bastards) When the tech had me sit up to gather them all in to one spot they took up about 1/3 the space. After seeing my family Doc I am now waiting for the surgeon to contact me to have a consultation. with the amount of attacks I am having (everyday !) there is concern that it may burst so I was told to look for my skin to turn yellow if that happens we can not wait and they need to come out NOW! but until then or until a scheduled surgery I manage the pain by alternating tylenol extra strength and advil every two hours (only things safe for me while breastfeeding) so that's that :(
