my non-eventful house got crazy this week:
Monday: Max came home with a little cough and a red eye booked in to see the family doc for the next day
Tuesday: now we have fever, cough and red eye. we to the doc this evening. Told he has pink eye and a bad cough/cold. gives us ointment for eye and Ventolin (sp) for cough. suggests Tylenol Advil for fever no sleep at all this night
Wed: starts to reject food and liquids drinks maybe 13 oz the whole day and when he eats it is followed by vomit. pink eye already looks better but fever getting as high as 103 and never lower the 99.8 ..hummm again no sleep this night.
Thursday: I am exhausted! max spends the who day crying in one monotone level, i start thinking I am going to go crazy. no eating at all at this point and time i try he pukes on my (my house smells disgusting) still fight this damn fever. Clint gets home from work and is trying to cuddle and play with Max, He wont straighten his legs and starts to just pass out and his eyes start to roll. ENOUGH!!! we load up and head to urgent care. i know he's dehydrated at this point and not eating cause of the stupid cough and his now stuffy nose. they get us in pretty quick. his breathing is a concern off we go for a chest x-ray. O2 levels are at 93-94. I am trying to avoid an iv so we start dropper feeding him apple juice and pedalight (sp) he takes it but brings it all back up (twice) they give him something to help him keep liquids down (looks like a wafer and it goes on his tongue) we do his inhaler for 5 puffs and they also gave him Tylenol amox and something else that's a steroid to help with his breathing. x-ray comes back Max has pneumonia and doc is concerned that nothing they have done has helped his breathing says he going to consult another doctor. Comes back 15 mins later and tells me that he's updated the other doctor and the ambulance will take max to the childrens hospital right now . WTF !!!!! we get there and within the house the new doc comes in chats with us about his last few days and takes a look at the xray. script for 10 days amox given a weeks worth of pedilight and sent home at 2am. holy crap and I tired
so little man has pneumonia, ear infection, some viral cold/cough, dehydration, pink eye and he is teething (both of the anterior centrals decided this was a great time to come in). I'm pretty much done with this week now.
